Dear Steven,

I have not much background for the protein. Anyway, I think the species
(rice, or Oryza sativa), subspecies (japonica or indica), and accession
(you can also call strain, cultivar, variety) will be three different
levels.

Also, in your email, japonica should be subspecies, and Fujihikari
should be a cultivar. You can have more detailed infm at this URL:
