where are these data?

Dear curator,

I have been trying to locate the potential position of a maize gene
of interest (Teopod2) in rice by searching for the position of
sequenced, core maize markers in Gramene. However, when I search for
the closest linked core maize molecular markers, UMC163a and UMC259a,
in Gramene, it does not return any records. Since these markers are
core mapping markers, I must be doing something wrong. How do I find
the position of these markers on the syntenic rice-maize maps?

Also, I have been trying to find the position of rice miRNAs in
Gramene, with no luck. I could do a BLAST search using their
sequences (retrieved from microrna.sanger.ac.uk/cgi-bin/sequences/).
However, I assume that you have annotated miRNAs and I am just
looking in the wrong field. How do I find records for miR156, for
example?

Thanks for your help,

Scott
