We do not expect you to provide reference on every page where it is 
used. However, if you are having a ontology browser or some other way to 
display the term detail pages, that include definitions, synonyms etc. 
then a link to the same term in Gramene is very much appreciated.

Yes you are allowed. As I said in my answer above, we greatly appreciate 
  the cross reference link.

We are very much interested in extending it for use in other taxa as 
well. Therefore if you are interested we can work on the details.

If the number of terms are few then it is the best way. Alternatively,
