[Gramene-announce] Gramene database build 50 released

The Gramene Team is pleased to announce its release #50. In collaboration with Ensembl Plants, we are providing in this release:

  *   New variation data for Oryza sativa japonica<http://ensembl.gramene.org/Oryza_sativa/Info/Annotation#variation>
  *   New orthologous-based pathway projections<http://www.gramene.org/node/plantreactome.oicr.on.ca> for Eucalyptus grandis, Jatropha curcas, Manihot esculenta, and Mimulus guttatus in the Plant Reactome
  *   Newly curated rice pathways in the Plant Reactome<http://plantreactome.gramene.org/>
  *   New Plant Reactome<http://plantreactome.gramene.org/> cross-references for all 39 plant genomes
  *   
New ncRNA alignments<http://ensemblgenomes.org/info/data/rfam_alignment> across all 39 genomes

  *   New track hubs<http://ensembl.gramene.org/Arabidopsis_thaliana/Info/Index#modal_user_data-Track_Hub_Registry_Search> for more than 900 public RNA-Seq studies, totaling more than 16,000 tracks across 35 plant species
  *   Updated putative split gene<ftp://ftp.gramene.org/pub/gramene/CURRENT_RELEASE/data/split_genes/> annotation artifacts

  *   Updated protein domain information based on the latest InterProScan
  *   New HMMER tool<http://ensembl.gramene.org/hmmer/index.html> for fast protein sequence search using Hidden Markov Models
  *   Updated gene and variation BioMarts
  *   Searches within ensembl.gramene.org<http://ensembl.gramene.org> are now being served by our new search API hosted at data.gramene.org<http://www.gramene.org/web-services>

  *   Updated software, genome browser, database schema and API to Ensembl v84 software<http://ensembl.org/info/website/news.html?id=84>
