[Gmod-help] Registering eagle-i with GMOD

Hello Julie,

Could you elaborate for each of the criteria how eagle-i meets those? I'm asking not because of disbelief but because it's part of the process. Also, as you will have seen, it's a community process, and given that and the fact the position will remain vacant until at least the end of June, it's difficult to imagine for me how it would complete before June 6. However, Scott or I can certainly give you feedback by then as to how smooth of a process this is likely going to be once we have your explanations re: criteria.

Finally, you said that you have looked at other software registries, and have found them all less suitable than GMOD. Would you mind listing these registries? Note that GMOD is not a software registry, so your statement makes me curious how you are looking at GMOD in relation to eagle-i. GMOD is a consortium of intercompatible software components, and it is the community of users and developers of those components.

If at all possible it would be most helpful if we could be registered with GMOD before the June 6 R01 deadline as we are currently applying for support to maintain and enhance eagle-i. Demonstration that we have done due diligence to register eagle-i software in a suitable place would be important. As we ourselves are a database, we need to demonstrate that we follow our own principles ;)
