[Gmod-help] Load and Save Problems and Some Server Connection Issues

Hello, first of all I would like to thank you for making such an awesome
game. You are geniuses!

Anyway, I recently purchased Garry's mod on Steam. I started singleplayer
on gm_construct and have made some ragdoll scenes and messed around with
thrusters on armchairs. I saved my game and then later I started it back
up, but when I tried to load it it says that I have no save games to play!

Another issue I have been having, is whenever I join multiplayer 90% of the
time the server will say that my version of the map differs from the
server's. The funny thing is that that map was just downloaded from the
server!!!

My specs:
iMac
Intel Core i3
3.06 GHz
4 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4670

My firewall is turned off, ports are open.
SteamID: IAMWIMPY

Please help, I really would like to enjoy this already awesome game. Thank
you for your help.
