There appears to be some conflicting documentation. Perhaps "perl
Makefile.PL" works but I've always used "perl Build.PL" with
gbrowse2.

Can you mix "Build" commands with "Makefile.PL"? I would stick with
one system, preferably "Build".

Those sound like gbrowse1.7 instructions.

Yes, I believe that the gbrowse2 installation method has some problems
with respect to SELinux and different implementations of it (Redhat
vs Fedora).
What are the chcon errors that you got? What operating system are
you running? I'm guessing that your chcon errors were that the
context httpd_sys_content_rw_t does not exist. Is that right?
