Chris,

I don't know if this one is different from others of the GFF2 variants,
it however differs from GTF annoyingly in that the stop_codon is contained
in the last CDS, instead of not as GTF does.  JGI also has specific ID tags,
and a numeric format for these to fit into their genome database/pipeline.
