Dear Ashley,
Thanks for contacting us. Looks like we are reading our citing
instructions from http://www.gramene.org/cite
It is important to specify the build that you use of the Gramene database,
as this will have a specific set of sequenced genome references and gene
annotations build. You may find this number as the first item of our left
Navigation menu bar in the home page. This will be the number inside the
parenthesis for the current release notes (that is 46 currently): "Current
release notes (46)"
If you click on this link, you will see what maize reference sequence
assembly and gene build were used in release 46 (see the Genomes core table
in http://www.gramene.org/release-notes-46). Past releases' notes are
available from the following link:
http://www.gramene.org/release-notes
