Just a heads up for the SA3 team...  Currently one can''t find the "right" maize gene described in the Acosta et al (2009). Science 323:262.
publication by using "tasselseed", tasselseed1 or ts1, only GRMZM2G104843 and LOX8 work.  May need to revisit the topic of common names, mutant phenotypes, etc. for facilitating searches...
