Dear Gramene Collaborators:<br>
<br>
I hope you are all enjoying the New Year so far. We have been busy
here at the Plant Ontology, preparing for a new release of the
database. We hope to have it up live in time for PAG this month.<br>
<br>
A <b>beta</b> version of the latest release of the PO is now available
on our AmiGO Browser
(<a moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="http://beta.plantontology.org:8080/amigo/go.cgi">http://beta.plantontology.org:8080/amigo/go.cgi</a>).
<br>
<br>
We have obsoleted or renamed/redefined a few terms (~10) that may
impact annotations from Gramene (at least 1 of the 10 does for sure).
These annotations are going to need to
be reassigned/moved to new PO terms as a result of the changes that
have been made.<br>
<br>
I have prepared a page on our wiki that you can visit to review the
changes
(<a moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="http://wiki.plantontology.org:8080/index.php/New_terms_and_obsolete_terms_for_Jan2011_release">http://wiki.plantontology.org:8080/index.php/New_terms_and_obsolete_terms_for_Jan2011_release</a>).
I
have
put in links to the annotation pages. There are also our
suggestions as to where the annotations should be moved to.<br>
<br>
<br>
Please contact me if you have any concerns or questions, <br>
Hope to see you all at PAG,<br>
<br>
Sincerely,<br>
Laurel<br>
