It indicated this is a predicted coding region and the function of this protein was suggested by computational analysis, but not by any experimental evidence. I did blastp to compare Q7XK24 to other protein sequences, the result showed Q7XK24 is 72% identical to transglutaminase in Zea mays (CAD32336). Currently, I wouldn't be able to find any literatures or references to associate with Q7XK24, we will keep you informed once we have any updates on this protein. </DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Sincerely,</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Chih-Wei Tung</DIV><DIV>Gramene Curator</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV><BR><DIV><DIV>On Dec 14, 2006, at 12:36 PM, Lincoln Stein wrote:</DIV><BR class="Apple-interchange-newline"><BLOCKQUOTE type="cite">See this help request from Dr. Santos.<BR><BR>---------- Forwarded message ----------<BR><SPAN class="gmail_quote">From: <B class="gmail_sendername">Mireya Santos</B> <<A href="mailto:mslgmt@ibmb.csic.es">mslgmt@ibmb.csic.es </A>><BR>Date: Dec 14, 2006 12:20 PM<BR>Subject: Oryza protein information<BR>To: <A href="mailto:lstein@cshl.edu">lstein@cshl.edu</A><BR><BR></SPAN> <DIV> Dear Dr. Stein,<BR> I will be very glad if you can inform me about the protein <B>Q7XK24 (Transcript LOC_Os04g40300.1)</B> that is in GRAMENE data bank.
