Thank you for contacting the National Science Foundation's
Publications Clearinghouse. This is an automated reply to help
expedite your request. Please note that no paper copies will
be sent unless you take further action, as explained below.

PUBLICATIONS:

NSF encourages electronic dissemination of its documents. NSF's
Online Document System includes all publications and forms
available in electronic formats. You can search by document type,
by NSF publication or form number, or by key word. To search the
Online Document System, go to http://www.nsf.gov and click on
"Publications" on the toolbar. To browse a list of current NSF
documents, go to http://www.nsf.gov/pubsys/index.htm .

CUSTOM NEWS SERVICE:

Don't miss out on information or grant opportunities from NSF.
Subscribe to the Custom News Service, an e-mail and web-based
alert service. Go to http://www.nsf.gov and click on "Custom
News." You can personalize your profile so you receive only the
information of interest to you.

FORMS:

For hints on finding and using electronic copies of NSF forms:
http://www.nsf.gov and click on "Grants." There's a direct link
to forms, as well as a document with hints on the use of NSF
electronic forms, at http://www.nsf.gov/bfa/cpo/forms/start.htm.
Further questions about the NSF electronic forms should be
addressed to grants at nsf.gov. Please note that effective
October 1, 2000, all proposals must be submitted using FastLane.

NO WEB ACCESS?

If you can't download from the Web, you still can receive many
NSF publications via e-mail. Send your request to our automated
mailserver, getpub at nsf.gov . For a list of all documents
available from GetPub, including file formats and sizes, send an
e-mail to getpub at nsf.gov with the words "get index" in the body
of the message. To retrieve a list of all GetPub commands and
usage tips, send an e-mail to getpub at nsf.gov with the word "help"
in the body of the message.

of the following three ways. Note that all publications are sent
via 4th class mail and will take three to four weeks to arrive.

1) Go to http://www.nsf.gov/home/orderpub.htm and fill out the
request form. (This is the fastest, easiest way.)

3) Telephone the NSF Publications Clearinghouse at 301-947-2722.
