Dear Grameners,
I am new faculty member at University of Nevada at Las Vegas. While I was
a student at Washington University in St. Louis and a Senior Scientist in
Monsanto, I worked on the molecular mechanism of ABA response, mainly in
barley and soybean. Recently, I am very much interested in rice because of
the availability of its genome sequences. I like to buy a few good books on
rice biology -- anatomy, development, genetics etc. Someone recommended
the following book to me.
"Science of the rice plant", edited by Takane Matsuo, Yuzo Futsuhara, Fumio
Kikuchi, and Hikoyuki
Yamaguchi. Published in 1997, ISBN4-540-96010-5
However, I couldn't find where in the United States I can purchase this
book. Please let me know if you know where I can buy this book or you have
other good rice book information.
Thank you very much for your help in advance.
Best regards,
Jeff Qingxi Shen
