Hi Sue,

Just now checked for the journals I suggested and figured out that

Journal name	In Gramene	In PubMed

Molecular plant-microbe interactions	33	33
Genes and Genetic Systems 23	10
Bioscience, Biotechnology and Biochemistry 73	65
Indian Journal of Experimental Biology	33	4
Japanese Journal of Genetics	78	9
J Science in China Series C Life Sciences	21	1
Hereditas	8	8

are actually in PubMed but not all the back issues, though the new ones are in.
That's why you see the difference in numbers from what's in Gramene Vs in PubMed

Some of the journals are listed in Pubmed but they do not carry all the
references. They have been listed in PubMed just because they came in as Xrefs
to some other paper.

Such as

Jour. name total Pubmed records

Japanese Journal of Crop Science 1
Photosynthetica 2
Journal of Plant Nutrition 16
Aust J Plant Physiol	4
Can J Bot	18
Crop Sci	83
JOURNAL OF PLANT PHYSIOLOGY	44
Photosynth Res	7
Physiological and molecular plant pathology	15
Phytopathology	185
Plant Cell Environ	86
Plant Soil	3
Plant Cell Rep	6
Plant Growth Regul	11
Plant Mol Biol Rep	01
Plant Physiol Biochem	23

I used http://locatorplus.gov/ to search for the journals that are in NLM and
PubMed. The last two columns in excel sheet show what's there in Gramene Vs the
corresponding in PubMed.

The updated list (excel) is attached.

Thanks
Pankaj
