[Gmod-help] gmod camera error

hi i have been having a problem in gmod for a very long time now. the
problem is whenever im in a vehicle any vehicle at all and i press the ctrl
button to go into third person the camera is inside my head? it makes it
very difficult to control a vehicle especially vehicles that need a third
person view to operate i have tried activating sv_cheats 1 and going into
third person and then entering a vehicle but i still have the same results
please help me with this frustrating error thanks again
