[Gmod-help] Playing Gmod 9

Hi

I recently down loaded the Gmod 9 (I previously had another Gmod, not sure which version but it had several sandboxes/prefabricated scenrios) but I am having problems getting into the sandbox, I can get as far as the menu screen but when I click the new game, load game or create server but I get the click sound and nothing happens, do I have to import maps and characters into the Gmod or am I doing something wrong?

Just out of curiosity the Gmod I mention in the brackets, if you know what I mean, is it possible you could send me a link to down load that mod since I have been able to use it very well on a previous machine?

I would appreciate any help you can give me.
