[Gmod-help] Re: [Gmod-gbrowse] libgd + GD.pm

Taner,

The directions on the MacOSX howto page assumes that you are still
going to use the net installer to install gbrowse, which will install
GD, along with other prereq perl modules and bioperl-live.  Are you
saying that after you installed libpng and libgd by hand, running the
net installer didn't install GD?  Could it be that libgd didn't get
installed in a typical place?  If for example, libgd got put in
/usr/loca/lib, and then the gdconf tool (whatever it is called) got
put in /usr/local/bin, and that isn't in your path, GD might not
install correctly (or without doing it manually, like you did).  If
that happened, we should probably ammend the howto to make sure libgd
goes into the appropriate place.
