[Gmod-help] NESCent summer school

Thanks for your reply, it was very helpful. I doubt the Summer School
is what I'm looking for. I was thinking more of a practical training
event for users of a database, not maintainers/implementers. It didn't
sound like the SS was what I was interested in, but I thought I'd ask
since NESCent isn't far away from where I am.

No particular problems; I haven't really tried to do much. I really
dislike learning how to do online things by reading documentation until
I've had a tutorial with a live person who knows what s/he's doing --
usually there is too much assumed knowledge of terminology to make much
sense of the documentation (I'm thinking GenBank in particular, but also
FlyBAse, WormBase, EuGenes, and other major organism databases). I
haven't investigated the GMOD documentation closely, so I can't say what
might or might not be effective in it.
I wish I were going to the Arthro genomics symposium, but it's smack-dab
in the middle of my field season, so it didn't work out.
