[Gmod-help] how to activate addonss on gmod

i got gmod 9.04 and steam and a load of addons i dont know how to get them working   i got the addons from garrysmod.org if that help                                                                                      i dont know what i have to do do i have to activate them from steam      which i cant find the page of addons if that page does ixists   
   
  PLEASE HELP ME I KNOW IM WAY OF THE TRACKS OF FIXING IT                                                                                                                                                                    &
