Dear Pankaj,

I hope you are hanging in there with all of the fun through the pandemic, political situation, fires, ….. I am, just barely. (Although I am fortunate in that no one I know has been seriously affected). It’s definitely getting old!

I am writing because I found an annotation error at Gramene, and it isn’t clear from the website how to communicate such things.

It has to do with the maize tha1 (thylakoid assembly 1) gene (SecA1). The correct gene is Zm00001d040686. This is correctly annotated as such at MaizeGDB.

However, Gramene attached the name tha1 to its paralog- SecA2.

Can you please communicate this to whomever takes care of such things?

Thank you!

Alice
