Comments : From a Gramene reviewer last round:
seems to be focused on issues around data integration, search and visualization, presumably providing functionality
for the users of Gramene that cannot already be obtained by use of any of the primary platforms being used as the basis of the infrastructure by ingestion of contents of these platforms into a dedicated document store based on MongoDB. The interfaces described as having been implemented show significant promise but also a number of rough edges that seem to suggest that significant additional user-directed testing is in order. For example, a search for NBS-LRR disease resistance protein (appropriately suggested by the autocompletion feature after I typed up to NBS-LRR) yields results that suggest the existence of tens of thousands of these genes per genome (these are big families, but not that big)

Using Interpro domains NB-ARC and LRR_N_plant-typ seems to yield more sensible numbers, though the results appear
to give the union of these two rather than the intersection and it is unclear from the UI how to alter this behavior or where to go to obtain documentation or help.
