I was using the blast search in Gramene as a registered user. One thing that annoys me most is the lack of saving (remembering) user-defined search parameters. For example, the default species is Arabidopsis, but I am interested using Oryza sativa Japonica Group. For almost every blast that I am doing, I needed to keep changing the species as the tool reset the species back to the default. Once a user changes the setting/parameters, those changes should be retained (saved or memorized) as far as a user login as a registered user. I think you need to look at such issue and do something to rectify the bug.
