The add custom tracks feature does not seem to be working.  Tested it with rice VCF files from ftp://ftp.ensemblgenomes.org/pub/misc_data/vcf/oryza_sativa/zhao_et_al_2010.vcf.gz  These work in Plants Ensembl but not in our (live & test) browsers...

Error message follows:

 Unable to open/index remote VCF file: ftp://ftp.ensemblgenomes.org/pub/misc_data/vcf/oryza_sativa/zhao_et_al_2010.vcf.gz
Ensembl can only display sorted, indexed VCF files
Ensure you have sorted and indexed your file and that your web server is accessible to the Ensembl site

PS: I'm tryng to test with a maize v4 file because the ones that ones via URL that one of our users provided is not working even in Plants Ensembl... I am wondering whether this could be a species specific problem for maize V4...
