Gillian,

I spent a while re-indexing the Ensembl data with a deeper data set, and now both of these work:

http://tools.gramene.org/search?query=LOC_Os11g41640
http://tools.gramene.org/search?query=OS11G0634700

But compare:

OS11G634700  <= your query missing “0” after “G"
OS11G0634700 <= correct identifier

So, in the end, I think the data is better indexed now, but maybe the original problem was a misspelled ID?
