Hi James,

This is an MSU gene model with no corresponding IRGSP model in RAP-DB.  We
adopted IRGSP gene models from RAP-DB as reference.  However, we have also
added MSU-7 gene
models<http://rice.plantbiology.msu.edu/home_overview.shtml>into the
rice genome browser for visual comparison to the IRGSP set (see
the Assembly and Annotation sections for O. sativa Japonica in
http://ensembl.gramene.org/Oryza_sativa/Info/Annotation/#assembly)

So if you turn on the MSU gene track in your browser in the region where
you expected to find LOC_Os02g34800 (i.e., Chr 2:20864367-20865500), you
will be able to see it (and get only some limited information about the
model since it is not part of the IRGSP reference).
