Hi Gramene Team,
i would like to know the differences between the maize releases 5b from maizesequence.org and the AGPv3 releases which are postet at Gramene. Is the "only" difference that there are additional scaffolds added which cover full length cDNAs?
Or have also the IDs from the annotation files changed between those releases. I am asking because I want to evaluate my RNA Seq Data with the newest version of the genome (annotation) and group genes according to their function with Mapman. But at MapMan are "only" the IDs from the 5b Version available. I wouldn´t mind if there are some IDs of the newest version not in this Mapman file but it would be very bad if same genes would have different IDs in these two annotations.
Many thanks in advance, with best regards,
Renke Perduns
